(茶壺) Teapots. Teapots are made from various materials such as glass, porcelain, stoneware, pewter, and silver. It is the most important vessel in tea brewing, akin to the main character in a film or stage play. Of all the vessels used, it has the greatest impact on the tea, influencing its aroma, flavour, taste, and texture.
(茶杯) Teacups. Teacups are mostly made from ceramic (porcelain or stoneware) or glass. Following the teapot, the teacup is the second most important vessel used in tea drinking — it is the only vessel that comes in direct contact with the mouth. The teacup has significant impact on how one perceives the taste of a tea.
(杯托) Beituo. The beituo serves as a receptacle and coaster for the teacup.
It can be made from various materials such as pewter, bamboo, wood, and so on. They
come in a variety of shapes and sizes; they may be round, oval, or patterned after flowers, animals, boats etc.
